Hot Weather Information
Excessive heat is defined as a school day when the temperature exceeds 94*F.
Children will be encouraged to:
- Drink plenty of water
- Wear hats when outside
- Play quiet games or read a book during recess and lunch recess
- Physical education classes will be modified
On school days when temps exceed 100*F, all NSD schools will implement their inclement weather schedules. Students will:
- Eat lunch indoors
- Encouraged to drink plenty of water
- Recess, lunch recess and physical education classes will be indoors
