Student Records Notice

Special Education records collected by NSD related to the identification, evaluation, educational placement, or the provision of Special Education services in the district must be retained under state and federal laws for a period of five (5) years after Special Education services have ended for the student. Special education services end when the student is no longer eligible for services, graduates, moves from the district and/or completes his or her education program at the age of 22.

If you received Special Education services from the Newhall School District and your date of birth is between 2001 and 2008 your Special Education records will be destroyed as of December 31, 2025.

If you would like to have copies of your Special Education records, you must submit a written request no later than November 1, 2025, to allow time to make copies.

- Name

- Date of Birth

- Date of Attendance

- Current Address

- Contact Number

- Photocopy of Driver's License, CA Identification card or Similar Proof of Identity
