• 5th Grade Physical Fitness Testing

The California Healthy Kids Survey (CHKS) is administered annually with parent consent.  This survey completed by 5th grade students in Newhall School District informs and justifies the actions in our District’s Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP).  School sites use the data from the survey to inform actions in your school’s single plan for student achievement (SPSA). These anonymous results have guided decisions such as hiring counselors at all site, additional Assistant Principal time, and supports for PBIS.  In general, it informs us on how we can support the health and well-being among our students, improve the school learning environment, and combat challenges such as bullying, violence, and exposure to drugs.
