Hello Owl Families! My name is Daria Ramirez and I am the proud principal of Old Orchard Elementary. This marks my 20th year in education. At the heart of my practice is building strong relationships with the staff, students, and the families I serve. I have devoted my career to educating and advocating for ALL students, both as a classroom teacher and as an administrator. I am excited to bring my passion and experience to cultivate the unique educational programs that Old Orchard has to offer. My goal is that every student feels empowered, celebrated, and valued by our school community. Collectively, we can make a positive impact in the lives of our students at Old Orchard.

I am excited to be joining the Newhall School District, but especially the OWL family this 2021-2022 school year. I am coming from Montebello Unified leaving behind 16 years of experience, but happy to be closer to home now.

I am married and have a toddler-aged daughter who recently began her preschool journey as I started my NSD journey. We enjoy traveling, enjoy being outdoors and when possible will be returning to our family adventures at Disneyland.

I am looking forward to working with all our families here at Old Orchard and joining the OWL family.
